Artist's Statement

The focus of my work has been alterations of found text. This begins with selection of text--with little or no consideration as to the content--that are then altered/appropriated to fulfill an end that is of my own choosing.

Within this work I am playing on many ideas. First and foremost is play within the realm of a experimental form of writing. Questioning authorship and originality is central within this work, taking a superior role over traditional poetic concepts of phrasing. However this should not be confused with an indifference or ignorance to the traditions and concepts that have been carefully sidestepped.
