Experience:
I have been a graphic designer for four years, and have developed the ability to think beyond my own personal tastes to suite the needs of a client. While clients do come first, my preference for legible texts that speak visually with the text rather than frilly design elements.
In this time I’ve gained a full understanding of working with commercial printers. This includes attaining and complying with printer specifications, checking a printer’s proof, and attending press checks to ensure all materials are printed in the best manner possible.
In addition to work as a designer, daily tasks have often included color correction, font matching, rebuilding logos from low res submissions, receiving and tracking advertisements, time tracking, masking photos, finding and following a visual identity, and proofing advertisements through national marketing offices. A sample portfolio is available here, and more extensive samples can be made available on request.
